September 4-6, 2026, at Ayala Malls Circuit in Makati. The roaster-run festival that packed The Corner House last year is back for a second edition — bigger venue, three days instead of two, same premise: a curated floor built by the specialty scene itself. This is a curator's guide — what Coffee Plz is, what the first edition tells you about this one, and how to plan your weekend so your palate is still sharp on Sunday.

What it is.

Most coffee events in the Philippines are built by events companies and filled by whoever pays for a booth. Coffee Plz is built the other way around — organized from inside the specialty scene by the team behind Yardstick Coffee, with Standard Supply Studios, EightyPlus Coffee, and the Philippine Coffee Guild presenting the first edition. The result reads less like an expo hall and more like a mixtape: a curated Bean Market of local roasters, a matcha lane, home-brew gear vendors, and live music running through the weekend.

The part nothing else in the calendar offers: an International Roasters Village. In 2025, Filter Supply (Fukuoka), Acid Coffee (Tokyo), and Life and Coffee (Okayama) poured in Manila for the first time, alongside Korean selections and Venezuelan lots through Curve Coffee Collaborators. If your palate has outgrown the local rotation, that room alone justifies the trip.

The move to Ayala Malls Circuit matters. The Corner House was intimate and it overflowed; Circuit gives the festival room to grow without turning into the big-hall format it was an alternative to. Three days, 10 AM to 10 PM — the first Manila coffee event to run into the evening, which changes what the programming can be.

What the 2025 edition tells you.

The Bean Market was a cut, not a catalog. Sixteen local roasters, deliberately drawn from beyond Metro Manila: The Good Cup Coffee Co. from Cebu, Hometown Cafe from Subic, Bodega Coffee Roasters from Quezon province, Escolta Coffee Company, Curve Coffee Collaborators. Expect the 2026 market to stay curated — that's the festival's whole identity.

Competition pedigree. Day one of 2025 hosted the Philippine AeroPress Championship, with the winner taking the Philippine slot at the world championship in Seoul. Bodega Coffee Roasters took the title. Watch the 2026 programming for the same anchor.

Free entry, token tasting. Entrance was free; tasting ran on a ₱250 festival kit — vendor tokens plus a sampling cup — which kept the floor moving and the queues honest. 2026 ticketing details land on the official channels.

Everything around the coffee. A matcha lane of small-batch Manila producers, equipment vendors from De'Longhi to Cafec and Loveramics, pastries from Baguio's Rebel Bakehouse, and a music lineup that treated the festival as a cultural event rather than a trade fair.

How to work a curated floor

Pick your corner before you go.

A curated market is small enough to taste badly — you can drift through all of it and remember none of it. Walk in knowing which corner of the Process Spectrum you're hunting in:

Clean

Bright, floral, tea-like.

Classic

Balanced, chocolatey, familiar.

Fluid

Juicy, fruit-forward, sweet.

Experimental

Funky, fermented, unconventional.

Don't know your corner yet? The palate quiz takes less than a minute — finish it before the festival opens.

Roasters to seek out.

Philippine roasters in the Cascara cellar with active, well-developed lineups. Not the official exhibitor list — that's on the festival's own channels as booths are confirmed — but a curator's map of the local specialty names worth knowing going in. Several of the 2025 Bean Market roasters are in here. If they have a booth, prioritize them; if they don't, ask the people who do whether they carry their beans.

Common questions.

When is Coffee Plz 2026?

September 4, 5, and 6, 2026 — Friday to Sunday, 10 AM to 10 PM — at Ayala Malls Circuit in Makati. Lineup, ticketing, and programming details are published on the festival's own Instagram as they're finalized.

What is the Coffee Plz festival?

A roaster-run coffee and matcha festival that debuted in San Juan in July 2025. It's put together by people inside the specialty scene rather than an events company — the team behind Yardstick Coffee, with Standard Supply Studios, EightyPlus Coffee, and the Philippine Coffee Guild presenting the first edition. The 2025 run had a Bean Market of 16 local roasters, an International Roasters Village with guests from Japan and South Korea, a matcha lane, home-brew equipment vendors, live music, and the Philippine AeroPress Championship.

Where is Ayala Malls Circuit?

Circuit Makati, the Ayala estate on the old Sta. Ana racetrack grounds along A.P. Reyes Avenue, Makati. A bigger, more accessible venue than the 2025 edition's Corner House in San Juan — and a sign the festival is scaling up for its second year.

How is Coffee Plz different from the Manila Coffee Festival or the Philippine Coffee Expo?

Posture. The Expo (June) is trade-leaning; Manila Coffee Festival (July) is a large consumer event. Coffee Plz is curated by roasters themselves — a tighter Bean Market instead of a hall of booths, and international guest roasters you won't find at the bigger events. Think festival-as-mixtape rather than festival-as-directory. It's also now the last major coffee event of the Manila calendar year, after the June-July cluster.

Which roasters will be at Coffee Plz 2026?

The 2026 lineup is published on the festival's own channels as booths are confirmed. For reference, the 2025 Bean Market carried 16 local roasters including The Good Cup Coffee Co. (Cebu), Hometown Cafe (Subic), Escolta Coffee Company (Manila), Bodega Coffee Roasters (Quezon), and Curve Coffee Collaborators — with Filter Supply (Fukuoka), Acid Coffee (Tokyo), and Life and Coffee (Okayama) in the International Roasters Village.

How much does Coffee Plz cost to attend?

2026 ticketing hasn't been detailed yet. The 2025 edition was free to enter, with a ₱250 festival kit — vendor tokens plus a sampling cup — sold online and on-site for tasting across the Bean Market. Expect a similar token system.
